In this episode of Light Transitions Radio, we were honored to spend some time talking with the insightful and soulful Scott Blum.

Scott Blum is the best-selling author of Waiting for Autumn and Summer’s Path and the co-founder of the popular inspirational website DailyOM.

He is also a filmmaker and multimedia artist who has collaborated with several popular authors, musicians, and visual artists and has produced many critically acclaimed works, including writing and directing the feature film Walk-In, based on his book Summer’s Path. Scott lives in the mountains of Ashland, Oregon, with his wife and business partner, Madisyn Taylor, and their son, Oliver Moon.

Scott’s personal interest in metaphysics and spirituality has been an ongoing pursuit since an early age. Decidedly non-traditional, he has found himself in remarkably unique and profound metaphysical situations that he has begun to share in his series of books.

The third installment in Scott’s best-selling series of enchanting novels, Winter Moon Rises (Hay House, hardcover, November 11, 2011) continues where the semiautobiographical Waiting for Autumn left off. This book follows Scott and his soul mate, Madisyn, as they prepare for their most profound adventure together: the journey of bringing their first child into this world.

In this episode of Light Transitions Radio, we were honored to talk about the intersection of community and individual development with one of the most respected thinkers and teachers in the culture, Karl Steyaert.

Karl Steyaert is a cultural catalyst and visionary, passionate about co-creating learning experiences and communities that contribute to peace, justice, and sustainability. With over 20 years of experience teaching and facilitating groups, he has taught and helped catalyze community in settings ranging from university classrooms and corporate boardrooms, to ecovillages and urban gardens.

Since 1998, Karl has directed, designed and taught university courses and programs interweaving the themes of sustainability, community, and consciousness, through the University of Michigan, the University of Massachusetts, the Findhorn Community in Scotland, and Auroville ecovillage in India.

Also, as a Certified Trainer in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) he has led trainings in conflict resolution and communication for corporate, non-profit, and intentional community clients in North America, Europe, and Asia since 2003. In addition, since 2009 he has been facilitating Restorative Circles, an approach to restorative justice grounded in NVC.

We were honored recently to spend time with the dynamic Lilou Macé, who took time out of a busy European travel schedule to speak with us. Lilou Macé is a French-American author, webTV host and international Internet video blogger since 2005, and a prominent proponent of ‘practical’ spirituality. In this episode of Light Transitions Radio, we talk about exciting new developments in wind power generation with the CEO of Master Flo Technology, Edward Desaulniers.
